I love to travel, and I do it as often as I possibly can. Mile & Marque is where I put what I’ve learned along the way: the places, the photographs, the products, and the lessons that came with them.
I started it because I wanted to create a place where people could find genuinely useful travel information. What I’ve figured out shouldn’t stay with me, so I’m sharing all of it here, through photographs, experiences, and products, for you to use.
How I travel
I love luxurious travel, though it isn’t always possible. So I weave it in where it makes sense, and I always ask whether it was truly worth it. Some splurges were. Some weren’t. You’ll hear about both.
If you travel the same way, I hope this becomes a place you trust: what worked, what didn’t, and what was truly worth the money.
The mark you make
The name is about travel working in both directions. The mark you make is what you leave behind, in how you express yourself and in the people and small businesses you support. It’s also what travel leaves in you: memory, perspective, confidence, or everyday joy.
Take the bag I bought in Amsterdam. It was worth the money because of the experience behind it. Those are the objects I love writing about, the ones that keep their meaning long after the trip ends.
